What is the "proportional design method" and how does the underwear fit from the first try-on?
I created a method of designing underwear, thanks to which the underwear we build and model fits from the first try-on. This technique is the result of many years of work in designing and sewing underwear. I think it's clear from the name that the basis of this technique is a proportional approach, in which you consider the breast to be a geometric figure with specific proportions.

About the author
Hello! My name is Andriy Zelensky and I will teach you how to sew underwear
I am 32 years old, I was born and live in Ukraine, in the city of Zaporizhia. My journey began in the distant 2017, when I decided to learn how to sew lingerie for sale. In 2018, I created my online lingerie store “Shapes Lingerie”.
I started teaching how to sew underwear completely by accident: after taking another master class on lingerie sewing, I thought that I could teach more. After that, in the spring of 2019, I held the first online workshop, which received very good reviews from the students. So I decided to continue doing master classes and it was the reason why lingerie making for sale took a back seat and was subsequently put on an indefinite hiatus.
I have been sewing underwear for 7 years, teaching for 5 years. During this time, more than 3,000 students went through my online workshops and courses. Some of them work for well-known brands, some sew lingerie for sale on their own, and for some, lingerie making has become an interesting and exciting hobby.
I work hard to create interesting and useful educational materials. During the last year more than 100 lessons have been filmed for my online school.
The result of my painstaking work was my "proportional design method". I wasn't happy with the fact that lingerie designing requires taking a lot of measurements, sewing test samples and adjusting their fit. My technique was created in an effort to simplify the work in bra making which receives enthusiastic reviews from my students.

Workshop plan
The studying in this workshop is structured in such a way that you will go from simple to complex.
And to make it clearer for you what the learning process looks like, I will describe this process.
1. Taking measurements
This lesson shows how to properly take measurements for sewing comfortable and anatomically correct underwear.
2. Panties
1. Designing a basic pattern of panties - we make a pattern of panties, from which we will design high-waisted briefs;2. Drafting panties - in this lesson we will draft high-waisted briefs and prepare their patterns;3. Sewing panties - in this lesson we will sew panties using the patterns we prepared in the last lesson.
3. Bra
1. Designing a basic pattern of a wireless bra - we made a pattern of a classic wireless bra, from which we will draft the bra patterns of this workshop;2. Drafting a wireless halter bra – in this lesson, we will draft a wireless halter bra and prepare its patterns.3. Sewing a wireless halter bra - in this lesson we will sew a wireless bra using the patterns we prepared in the previous lesson.

Is an overlock machine necessary?
You don't need an overlock or a coverstitch machine to participate in the course. I will show you a sewing technique that can be done with just a household sewing machine with a lockstitch and a zigzag.
